Quantum simulation of topological states of matter

Strongly correlated quantum matter exhibits a rich variety of emergent phases, among which topological insulators and superconductors play a central role due to their robustness against perturbations and their potential applications in quantum technologies. This PhD project aims to develop and employ advanced quantum algorithms for the simulation of such topological phases on controllable platforms based on ultracold atoms and molecules.
